St Barths Bucket Regatta will return from 21 to 24 March 2019 and promises to bring with it thrilling, competitive racing action and lively shore-side social events to Gustavia’s harbour. Celebrating its 32nd edition, this four-day regatta is a highlight of the St Barth’s sailing calendar. The invitational Regatta attracts the world’s most talented sailors and jaw-dropping sailing yachts to the beautiful waters of St Barths.
The races are usually limited to 30 yachts and each must have a length over all of a hundred or more feet. However with fun high on the list of requirements, the formal measurements are regularly overlooked and yacht owners and crews have the freedom to experiment on the capabilities of their yacht without worries.
The Regatta is renowned for its camaraderie and non-commercial spirit. It is famous for being hosted purely for the pleasure and enjoyment of the sailing superyacht owner. This year’s regatta will see the introduction of a new class: the “Corinthian Spirit” – Les Voiles Blanche. This new class has been introduced for owners and crews who seek a more laid-back racing.
However, it isn’t all about the competitive racing. The St Barths Bucket is also supported by an exciting shore-side social programme of events that include yacht hops, award ceremonies and the infamous Saturday “Bucket Bash” and final awards ceremony party.
